9 Weeks Old...

Well, I am now a little over 9 weeks old and have changed so much in such a short time. Mommy took me to the doctor yesterday and all went well, other than the 4 shots I had to get in my tiny (chunk) legs. Whoever thought it was a good idea to stick a sharp needle in your body is sadly mistaken. After a few tears and many screams, I made it through the ordeal. The Doctor says I am doing great and growing fast...ready for this?? I weigh 13 pounds (90-97th percentile, among my many other baby friends) and am 23 1/2" long (90th percentile). I guess mommy and daddy are feeding me well!

I love my tummy time and can even do mini push ups to make me stronger. I am staying awake longer during the day and sleeping for 4-5 hour stretches at night. I am still sleeping in my papason swing thingy that mommy takes me upstairs in every night and puts it in my crib. I don't like sleeping on my back AT ALL, so since I can't be put to bed on my tummy (which I LOVE and would sleep FOREVER), the papason chair will have to do.

I smile a lot at my big brother Ryan, he is funny and very nice to me. He tries to calm me down when I cry, bounces me in my bouncy seat and swings me in my swing. He also watches over me and makes sure none of his classmates poke me when we go to pick him up from school. Such a protective big brother. Mommy says I will be thankful for that when I am older.

Mommy says Ryan is growing up too fast and he is such a sweet boy, but a little devil at the same time. He is now 39" tall and will be able to ride more roller coasters at Kings Dominion next year. (What is a roller coaster?) Anyway, he loves school and has lots of friends. He can be very mean to mommy and daddy and mommy actually caught him sticking his tongue out at her behind her back the other day. She was not happy with him at all!!! For the most part though he is a good boy, so funny and full of life and imagination. He sure makes us all laugh and amazes us with his memory and ability to comprehend so much. He is learning his letters and can even write them. He can count to 30 (with a little help), can count to 10 in spanish, knows his colors in spanish and knows all of the Nascar race car drivers! He also knows his name and address. He sure is smart and amazes mommy and daddy every day. I hope I grow up to be just like him!

Well, my little fingers sure are tired from typing, so I am going to sign off for now. Stay tuned...
