The sun is shining, we are healthy, staying busy and looking forward to warm weather and playing outside! I am 19 months old (I know, right? Can you believe it??) and the dr. is pleased with my growth, speech, development and all that stuff and even said I seem to be advanced in a few areas. I told her NO and pointed at her, like i do at home to Casey girl and blamed it all on "eye eye" (Ry Ry)! I am in the 90-95% for height and weight, measuring 33 1/4" tall and weighing 28 1/2 lbs :) ...I think I am catching up to my brother who weighs about 36 lbs! HA, watch out Ryan, here I come!! Oh wait, one more thing about me...I WENT PEE PEE IN THE POTTY!

We had an action packed Easter, going to see the helicopter egg drop with my cousins, Brandon and Tyler and Aunt Nyse, Uncle Robbie and Ninnie. It was SO cool watching 15,000+ eggs fall from the sky and we had a blast hunting for all the eggs! Then we had a family party at our house and had another egg hunt, played some silly bean bag game mommy kept calling cornhole, ate lots of food and ran around outside. Such a fun day!

Ryan turned 5 on the 19th...Mommy and daddy say it is an important milestone, whatever that means. All I know is he got lots of presents, had lots of parties and lots of cake and "couple cakes"! We had a family/friend party at our house on Saturday where we ate yummy pizza and scrumptious Spider-man cake and "couple cakes" and when Ryan was going to blow out the candles he lost his balance and fell into the cake and couplecakes. I thought it was funny, but everyone else seemed very concerned. Mommy caught him before he smashed the entire cake, but he did end up falling into the burning candles and getting hot candle wax on his face and in his hair. He got over the pain as soon as he ate the cake! The next day I stayed with Ninnie while Mommy, Daddy and Ryan went to his school friend birthday party at the baseball field. Flying Squirrels is the team name...isn't that kind of silly? He celebrated with his 2 friends/classmates who have birthdays around the same time as Ryan and his entire class came to the party and the baseball game. Ryan got to throw a starting pitch and his name was put up on the scoreboard. He is famous!!!! Such a great birthday idea, I hope I can have mine there one day!

Speaking of baseball, Daddy is playing on a league (The Cubs) and he is having so much fun! For some reason he comes home REALLY dirty, all scraped up and can barely walk the next day. Mommy tells him he needs to ease into it, and understands he gets excited to be playing again and probably feels like he is a kid again...but in reality he is NOT a kid and his body is saying, DADDY PLEASE BE NICE TO ME! STOP SLIDING EVERY CHANCE YOU GET, STOP TRYING TO HIT HOME RUNS EVERY TIME, STOP RUNNING....MAYBE TAKE A SLOW JOG!!! We can't wait to watch a game and see him in a place where he feels at home, doing something he loves and is so passionate about. I hope I love something so much (other than food) and am good at something like that when I grow up!

If you can believe it, Ryan will be going to big kid school this fall! Mommy and daddy are still trying to figure out where he will be going, as their first plan fell through. Unfortunately, the lottery lucky lady was not on our side this time, and Ryan didn't get picked for either school we tried to get him into through the open enrollment in the city. They actually did an old-fashioned lottery drawing to pick the kids for each school, which is kind of neat. So, moving forward, Mommy registered him at his zoned school (and almost threw up during the process because she CAN NOT BELIEVE her baby boy is going to ELEMENTARY SCHOOL), but they aren't sure if they will send him there for reasons I don't really understand. They found an awesome school that sits just below the "richmond" radar (which they like) and were so impressed they are trying to see if they can get him in there. They aren't convinced it would be a school I would do well in, but it is too soon to tell for me, however for Ryan they think it is the perfect fit for him, his learning style and his personality. They are letting Ryan visit both schools and keeping him involved in the decision process, which makes him happy and excited that he actually may have options!

Well, I must go to bed now...tonight is the first night in my new DAY BED! Mommy and daddy caught me trying to climb out of my crib, so they converted it to a daybed with a little rail to keep me from falling out. They put a gate on my door and then closed the door behind them because I am soooo close to figuring out how to open doors and they don't want me wandering around at night when they are sleeping. I tested the new bed out earlier and it scares me a bit, but am excited to go sleep in it. I wonder if I will still be in the bed in the morning or if mommy will find me sleeping on the floor or in my chair....hmmmm, guess only time will tell :)

As usual, I rambled on and on. I just get so excited to share all these new things with you and hope it makes you forget about anything icky even for just a few minutes. If you take a step back and imagine a day in the life of me (or Mommy), it is sure to make you smile and possibly a little chuckle out loud (especially for those of you who know what mommy's hair looks like when she wakes up in the morning!!!)
